Identity Safe and Trust Solutions

sAIfer Lab's develops personal identification and authentication solutions designed to be safe, explainable and robust.

Our team has a great deal of experience in studying and analysing advanced biometric technologies aimed at secure and reliable personal recognition, integrating multiple biometric traits for enhanced security, and developing robust systems for protecting documents and messages through biometric encoding.
These efforts address the growing need for secure, fast, reliable, and efficient identification and authentication methods in various applications.

Biometric systems, in fact, identify an individual for personal recognition using physiological (fingerprints, iris patterns, facial features, etc.) and behavioral characteristics (such as keystroke dynamics and gait analysis), overcoming the limitations of traditional authentication methods such as PINs and passwords. In this context we study and analyze the best technologies to guarantee recognition in non-ideal situations, such as at long distances and with variations in acquisition conditions.
Moreover, we study how multimodal biometric systems can increase security and reliability by combining information from other biometric traits and soft biometrics. These systems have advanced fusion algorithms that enhance the identification process in terms of accuracy and robustness, at the same time increasing user convenience and security.

Regarding document and message protection, biometric encoding addresses the critical need for secure methods of safeguarding sensitive information. Cryptographic keys are derived from an individual's biometric data, which are then used to encrypt documents and messages. This approach ensures that only authorized individuals with matching biometric credentials can access the information, providing an additional layer of security beyond traditional encryption methods.

Goals and Target Users: our research aims to create practical solutions to enhance security and trust in personal identification and information protection. Target users include government agencies, financial institutions, healthcare providers, and private enterprises needing secure, efficient authentication methods. Ensuring biometric solid systems will reduce unauthorized access to information, protect sensitive information, and level up various sectors worldwide, providing a safer and more trustworthy environment in the digital platform.
